Home Cynthia F. Bingham, current executive secretary, grew up bilingual, with a Costa Rican mother and an American father. She lived in San José, Costa Rica for thirteen years and studied at a bilingual school and at Spanish speaking schools. Cynthia lived and studied in Ponce, Puerto Rico for one academic year, graduating with honor from Liceo Ponceño High School. She taught Spanish for six weeks in 1989 for an ASU Summer Abroad Program, and has developed a very successful yearly cultural awareness travel program. She has traveled with students to Mexico, Spain, Italy, Greece, France, Monaco, and China. In the fall of 1998, she began serving as National Secretary for Sigma Delta Mu. Bingham is a member of Alpha Mu Gamma and serves as faculty association treasurer at CGCC. She is, also, an active member of the International/Intercultural Education Committee as well as various other committees.

She loves and understands people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds. She is fascinated with things that are different and out of the ordinary. She enjoys teaching, skydiving, camping, the outdoors, gardening, eating foreign foods, and shopping. Bingham is the mother of three and has been married for 25 years. Cynthia holds a Master of Arts with a major in Spanish Language and Culture from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in French from Brigham Young University. For three years, she worked at Brigham Young University Language Training Mission. Cynthia holds a Master of Arts with a major in Spanish Language and Culture from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in French from Brigham Young University. For three years, she worked at Brigham Young University Language Training Mission. In 1990, Cynthia moved to Chandler-Gilbert Community College as a member of the Spanish Faculty.
